Karoo Coffee Co. had a WooCommerce store that worked — kind of. Checkout took 90+ seconds, local payment options were missing, and mobile users were abandoning at the payment step. They were leaving money on the table every single day.

The rebuild. We stripped the cart down to its essence: one-page checkout, guest checkout by default, and local payment rails wired in from the first commit. Payfast, PayShap, Instant EFT, and cards — all native, no redirects that break the flow.

The AI layer. We added an AI invoice automator that generates, sends, and files tax invoices the moment a payment clears. No human touches an invoice unless there's a dispute. The AI also flags unusual order patterns (potential fraud, address mismatches) for review.

The result. Conversion jumped from 1.8% to 4.7% in the first 60 days. Average order value went up 28% because the checkout no longer scared people away. Checkout time dropped from 90s to 38s. They now process orders 24/7 — the AI handles invoicing while they sleep.
